Traveling Wisdom Found at the Cove and the Beautiful South
March 1, 2014Do you know about God or do you really know God? Recently, I traveled through WV and NC and I reflected on just that question.
Before we get too far into the question above, I wanted to share some morsels that I gleaned as I traveled through the beautiful south with my wife, Jen, best friend Michael, and his wife Nicole.
Recently, I heard a story of a very healthy and fit woman who was 39 who simply died of a massive heart attack. My wife baby-sat her children in the past. It was a sad reminder of how precious life is, and we should NEVER take life for granted.
I realized that way too many couples don’t allow themselves enough time to get away and re-charge their batteries. They allow the pressures of family and life in general to give them reasons why they can’t reserve valuable, quality time. If it has been too long for you and your spouse since you have taken a getaway (even if it’s a long weekend), I challenge you to spend time planning your next excursion today.

– Sadly, that distress has been replaced by a new one that is the seeming void of chivalry in our society today,
– Whatever happened to the soda fountain of the 50’s and a time when courting was “normal”?
– Believe me I know personally how warped and changed the dating world is today,
– Marriages and relationships are full of new and many times sad expectations,
The Only True Soul Mate
May 3, 2009– Winding itself through the very fabric of our society,
– So many humans believe in ‘soul mates’,
– Some even believe they have found theirs in marriage,
– However I am gripped by a powerful question,
– That echoes throughout my being like an earthquake throughout the Grand Canyon,
Married for Life
April 1, 2009– It used to do just that if we look back into our not too distant history,
– Sadly today the erosion of the family unit and marriage is staggering,
– We trade patience for anger,
– Kindness for being rude to our loved one,
– Sadly we record a record of wrongs and many times are self seeking,
– Though this was the person that we stood before at an alter not too long ago,
Leading Your Heart
February 14, 2009
– The world wants us to believe that we have a new way to fulfill the desires of our heart,
– I watch the passionate pursuit in the eyes and the actions of so many singles,
– Marching on like soldiers going into a battle that they believe in fighting for,
– Men and women in nobility wearing their hearts on their sleeves believing that an aura of honor surrounds them,
